Key Ingredient:

Indications: Telmisartan 40 mg is indicated for:

• Treatment of Essential Hypertension: To lower high blood pressure.

• Cardiovascular Risk Reduction: To reduce the risk of myocardial infarction (heart attack), stroke, and death from cardiovascular causes in patients 55 years of age or older at high risk.

Mechanism of Action:

• Telmisartan: Selectively blocks the binding of Angiotensin II to the AT1 receptor subtype in various tissues, including vascular smooth muscle. Angiotensin II is a powerful vasoconstrictor. By blocking its action, Telmisartan promotes vasodilation (widening of blood vessels), leading to a reduction in blood pressure.

Application:
